The A500 was blocked after an accident involving two cars.
Paramedics were seen visiting the crime scene on the south lane of D-Street in Porthill.
Inrix traffic monitoring station said traffic has currently decreased about five kilometers to the Talke roundabout.
A spokesman said, “The A500 D Road south is closed. There are queues for five kilometers and delays due to an accident. Two vehicles are involved in the A5271 Porthill Road (Porthill Bank).
“The Talke Roundabout and A34 Talke Road are congested in both directions.”
