Tragedy occurred last night in the West Midlands when a teenager died in a terrible accident.
Demari Thomas, 16, crashed into a silver Ford Fiesta while overtaking a black Audi A3 on his moped.
A doctor who happened to pass the crime scene in Sutton Coldfield rushed to the youth’s rescue when he suffered cardiac arrest at around 8 p.m.
Paramedics also tried their best to rescue Demari after four ambulances, but the young man still died on the scene.
Two drivers, one of whom is said to be pregnant, were also slightly injured in the collision. One was taken to the hospital.
A witness, who refused to be named, said, “My husband helped a lady out of one of the cars. She was very shocked.
“The off-duty doctors worked on the man until the paramedics arrived. It’s all so very sad. So tragic. ‘
Another viewer added: “There were lots of police cars, ambulances and fire engines. Steam was coming from one of the cars and a bicycle was on the street.
“I could see a lot of rescue workers on the street, circling a person on the ground. We have lived here for seven years and there have been a lot of accidents. ‘
