Ted Vines: 12-year-old killed in Lincolnshire car crash is named | UK News

A 12-year-old boy killed in a car crash in Lincolnshire has been identified as Ted Vines from Alford.

He was pronounced dead at the scene on Sunday when the silver Ford Galaxy he was a passenger in collided with another car in Bardney.

His family said he was on his way to play football for Alford U12 in Branston when the incident happened.

They said in a statement: “Ted was loved by everyone – he was happy, funny and brilliant and had so many people who loved him.

“Everywhere he went, Ted made friends. He was a special part of the community for everyone.”

Officers were called to the incident on the B1190 just before 10am on 16 January.

A man in the second car, a Mercedes A220, was taken to hospital.

No one else is believed to have sustained any life-threatening or life-changing injuries.

Lincolnshire Police are asking for information from witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage of the collision to get in touch.
