Teenage boy hospitalized in Chelmsford with life threatening injuries after two car accidents

A teenager was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a two car accident in Chelmsford.

Police are appealing to witnesses of the collision on Main Road in Bicknacre just before 5 p.m. today (Wednesday 7 April).

An Essex Police spokesman said: “A silver fiesta was being driven from Bicknacre towards South Woodham Ferrers when it collided with an oncoming Corsa. Ambulances and fire departments were also present.

“The young driver of the Silver Fiesta was rushed to a London hospital with life-threatening injuries.

“The driver of the Corsa – a man in his eighties – was taken to the hospital for assessment.”

Anyone who has been nearby and may have witnessed the collision or took dashcam footage of the incident or vehicles immediately prior to the collision is asked to call the police on the number 101 quoting the April 7th 797 incident.
