The parked car’s windshield was smashed in a “ruthless” attack

A VEHICLE windshield was smashed in a “ruthless” attack over the weekend.

Dorset Police say the reported incident, which occurred around 2:15 p.m. on Sunday, September 26, damaged the windshield of a vehicle parked on East Street in Bridport.

It is reported that a group of people ran away from the area towards South Street.

An investigation has been launched into the incident and police are asking witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Bridport Police Department Officer Neil Gauden said, “This reckless damage is having a significant impact on the victim and we are investigating to determine who is responsible.

“I appeal to anyone who witnessed the events or saw or heard suspicious activity in the area to please report.

“I would also like to urge local residents and businesses to check their CCTV systems for footage that could aid my investigation.”
