Three women were hospitalized after a car accident involving two horror cars in the Highlands

Three women have been hospitalized after a terrible traffic accident in the Highlands.

The police were called this afternoon at 3:30 p.m. to the accident site of two vehicles on the A9 in Tain.

A 79-year-old woman was flown to Raigmore Hospital, and two other women, aged 60 and 20, were also rushed to the hospital by ambulance.

Traffic Scotland has warned motorists to approach the road near the B914 in Tain as the road remains closed.

According to the police, diversions have been set up for motorists.

A Police Scotland spokesman said:

“The emergency service is currently in use. A 76-year-old woman was taken to Raigmore Hospital by Helimed, and two other women, aged 60 and 20, were also taken by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital.

“The road is closed in both directions and there are local detours.”
