Travelers arrive in car park of Scunthorpe leisure centre

Travelers have arrived in the car park at popular Scunthorpe leisure centre, The Pods.

Witnesses believe there to be at least a dozen caravans and report seeing children running around the car park and believe some may have entered the center to use its facilities.

The land is owned by North Lincolnshire Active which is part of the North Lincolnshire Council.

“A number of small dogs were tied to vans with carpets or mats hanging over seating areas and traveler children playing in car park.

“I did witness a couple of teenage kids going out their van into the pods, presumably to use the facilities.
