Walker woman used stone to smash the front and rear windows of “casual lovers”

An angry woman smashed the front and rear windows of a car of her “casual lover” with a stone.

Kelly Moore caused up to 5,000 pounds of damage when she targeted the vehicle while it was parked outside of his work.

A court heard that another woman was in the car at the time and saw the 45-year-old approach.

Then she asked the woman, “What’s your damn name and where is it?” before you smash the front and rear windows of the vehicle with a stone and a “blunt instrument”.

Now the outburst has proven costly to Moore of Roman Avenue in Walker after she was sentenced to pay £ 1,500 in compensation for appearing before the Newcastle judges to plead guilty to a crime.

Prosecutor Rebecca Slade said the victim and Moore had a “casual relationship” between February and August last year.

The man worked as a delivery driver for a local fish shop and parked his car in front of the store on the evening of August 28, 2020.

Miss Slade continued, “There was a woman in the car when he went into the store. She sat in the front seat and while she waited the defendant opened the door and asked, “What’s your damn name and? where is he?”

“She informed the defendant that he was in the workshop. The defendant wanted to leave, but could be seen by the woman who smashed the rear window.

“She watched the defendant go back to the front door. She had a blunt instrument in one hand and a stone in the other.”

The court heard the woman feared for her safety, so she got out of the vehicle while Moore smashed the windshield.

In a statement, the owner of the car said, “The vehicle was my work vehicle. It’s off the road. I am unemployed.

“That will bring me financial hardship.”

The judges were told that the victim estimated the cost of repairs to be around £ 5,000.

Karen Minhas, who defended herself, said Moore had no previous convictions and went nuts that night in question.

She added, “Miss Moore felt exploited by the victim. He used her to buy drugs for himself.”

Presiding Judge Win Clayton, who fined Moore £ 120 and ordered her to pay £ 1,500, said, “You have no criminal record and hopefully you won’t do it again.”
