Motorists were recently warned about car theft after keyless vehicles were attacked by thieves.
Birkdale in Southport saw two car thefts in one night last week, with Merseyside police warning people about the safety of their vehicles.
Both cars had keyless ignition and were stolen without their trailers.

This means that the thieves were able to search for the trailer’s signal and steal the vehicles.
The Sefton Police Department Facebook page states: “We are investigating the thefts of two cars that took place overnight in Birkdale from Thursday 14th to Friday 15th October.
“This suggests the thieves were able to look for the trailer’s signal to steal the vehicles.
“Thieves often leave stolen cars a short distance from their original location if there are trackers attached to the vehicle.
