Wigan Warriors striker broke car outside the club’s stadium

Wigan Warriors striker Joe Shorrocks was broken into his car in front of the DW Stadium.

Shorrocks, who played in the Warriors’ loss to Hull KR on Friday, suffered a concussion and was unable to drive home after the game.

When he returned to pick up his car that morning, he found that his vehicle had been vandalized and all of his golf equipment had been stolen from the back of the car.

According to Ellie Costello, who posted a picture of the damage on Instagram, a brick had been thrown through the rear window and all of his golf clubs had been stolen.

“Joe was unable to drive home from his game last night due to his field injury and concussion,” Costello wrote on Instagram.

“That’s why he had to park his car in the club parking lot overnight. We came back this morning at 7:30 am to pick it up, only to find his window broken with a brick; his golf clubs / bag, club clothes were all stolen.

“Opportunistic bastards.”

The post was shared by a number of Shorrocks teammates.
