A406 North Circular live: Updates after a car accident in the central reservation cause hours of delays

A406 North Circular Westbound drivers can currently expect an hour of delay after a car accident between Upper Edmonton and Walthamstow.

In the incident, believed to have occurred around 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, a car crashed into the central reservation on Cook’s Ferry Interchange.

Due to the serious accident from A112 Chingford Road to Hall Lane between the Crooked Billet Interchange in Walthamstow and the Cooks Ferry Interchange in Upper Edmonton, drivers can expect stop-start traffic.

There have been reports of congestion on the M11 Charlie Brown’s Interchange with further delays through Chingford, Walthamstow and Tottenham as traffic is diverted.

Emergency services have blocked the road from Crooked Billet following the accident at the Cooks Ferry Interchange, where a vehicle is said to have plowed through the central reservation of the exit.

The condition of the driver is not yet known. The trapped traffic is turned back and rerouted in the area.
