Armed police injure boys after car accident in Allesley Green Coventry | Great Britain | Messages

Officials were called after a teenage boy and his dog were deliberately run over in Allesley Green, Coventry, according to police. The teenager suffered minor injuries, but his dog was seriously injured.

Then there was a shotgun confrontation, but West Midlands Police said no shots were fired.

The incident is believed to have occurred in the area around the Tanyard Farm sheltered housing development, Coventry Live reports.

Gun officers were deployed and three men, aged 20, 49 and 66, and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm.

Nearby properties were searched and two firearms were seized last night.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “Three men aged 20, 49 and 66 and a 17-year-old boy were arrested tonight on suspicion of various crimes including attempted murder and possession of a gun.

“Today yesterday a teenager and his dog were deliberately run into on Park Hill Drive. He suffered minor injuries, but the dog was seriously injured.

“A shotgun was produced after a confrontation tonight. Fortunately, no shots were fired.

“As a result, firearms officers were called to the scene and the arrests were made at Winceby Place. Several properties are searched and two firearms have been seized.

“Firearm incidents are rare and our investigations are ongoing.”
