Charity funding from car tuning companies

Tony & Daniel Kirk of Top Gear Tuning who donated £ 1,500 to Compton Care

Compton Care is expected to receive £ 1,500 from Top Gear Tuning of Willenhall.

The company, owned by Daniel Kirk, has grown to 500 sub-dealers worldwide in the past two years.

Daniel, 30, said Compton Care was a charity that he and his team were passionate about and that they wanted to give back to after their struggles during the pandemic.

He said: “As a local company and a local boy from Wolverhampton, I was really keen to give something back to Compton as they do a great job and have recently helped friends, family and colleagues through difficult times.

“Compton is close to many of us, so since January this year we’ve committed to donating at least 50p for every file sold at Top Gear Tuning to Compton Care.

“We sell around 500 files a month on average.”

To date, Top Gear Tuning has donated £ 1500 and is committed to continuing to donate for the foreseeable future.

The funding will give Compton Care a boost as the charity has been financially affected due to the pandemic, as retail stores are closed for a large period of the year and fundraising has declined.

Natalie Woods, Compton Care’s Corporate Partnerships and Trusts Manager, said, “We are very grateful to Top Gear Tuning for choosing to support Compton Care.

“It has been an extremely challenging year for the charity, but our team went out of their way to support our NHS partners.

“We have seen a huge drop in income over the past year, so partnerships like these are vital to ensure we can continue to deliver our services to our community for years to come.”
