Civil engineer called after car collided with house in Shrewsbury

A civil engineer was called to a property in Shrewsbury this morning after a car went off the road and collided with a house.

A structural engineer was called in to inspect the damaged object

The incident occurred on Sunday morning at around 4:14 a.m. on the corner of Whitchurch Road and Rosedale.

There was structural damage to the door and the bay window of the property.

It is the second time that a vehicle has left the road at the intersection. In December 2020, a car came off the road and collided with the garden wall of the property.

Three fire extinguishers including the rescue tender were mobilized from Shrewsbury and Wellington together with an operations officer.

All utility lines on the property have been isolated by firefighters.

West Mercia Police were also present.
