Crash closes the road after motorcycle and car collapse outside Goodison Park

The streets are closed this afternoon after a motorcycle and car accident outside Goodison Park.

At around 4:30 p.m., emergency services were called to Spellow Lane to report a crash.

Photos of the scene showed debris on the street outside the stadium and a black car damaged while officers were working.

An unmarked police vehicle was also pictured at the scene of the crime.

A spokesman for Merseyside Police Department confirmed that there was an accident between a motorcycle and a car. The troops confirmed that those involved had sustained only minor injuries.

A fire engine was also pictured near the accident following an oil spill on the road following the accident.

Traffic and bus connections have been diverted away from the busy road while the emergency services work on site.

Mersey Travel pointed out that bus number 68 is subject to delays.

Emergency services called Spellow Lane after a crash

The service tweeted: “Due to a police incident, Spellow Lane is closed in both directions near Goodison Road.

“68 services are delayed and will operate on Queens Drive and Walton Lane, with Spellow Lane and County Rd removed. They will be updated as they become available.”
