Cyclist hospitalized in Worthing after collision with car | news

The police arrested the driver involved

A cyclist has been hospitalized in Worthing after colliding with a car on the A24.

Officials received reports of a collision between a silver Kia and a cyclist near the intersection with Cissbury Road in Broadwater at around 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7.

The cyclist – a 41-year-old woman from Worthing – had to be treated for minor injuries.

The driver – a 27-year-old woman from Lancing – was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, assault and possession of cannabis.

She has been released as part of an investigation pending further investigation.
