Dublin news LIVE: Emergency services attend N7 crash, firefighters tackle car blaze, Dublin Airport flight delays

The weather will take a turn for the worst this week as wet, rainy, windy and cold conditions hit the country.

Temperatures will drop below freezing and the clear sunny recent days will end as cloudy, rainy weather takes hold.

However, Monday will be relatively clear with bright start before becoming overcast in the afternoon.

Met Eireann’s forecast for the week read: “Very unsettled, wet and often windy weather through the week, there may be some brief intrusions of colder air at times too, bringing some heavy showers, that may turn wintry at times but generally there will be a mild trend towards the end of the week.”
