EMERGENCY SERVICES VISIT CAR IN FIELD NEAR HAVENSTREET – Iceland Echo

Emergency services, including the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Police, Ambulance and Fire & Rescue Services, are present tonight (Saturday) in a road traffic collision near Havenstreet.

At least 5 police units as well as 2 ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and 2 devices are at the scene of the crime on Stroud Wood Road, where a vehicle has left the lane.

Unusually, a police dog unit has also arrived at the scene of the accident.

The roads between Upton Roundabout and Rowlands Lane are currently closed.

Island Echo believe officials are currently trying to track down someone related to the incident.

UPDATE @ 11:39 PM – It turns out that a small hatchback has left the road and stopped in a nearby field.

The exact circumstances of how the vehicle got off the road are not clear, although it is evident that the car crashed through a hedge and scattered debris in its wake.

It is believed that at least one person was rushed to the hospital in a blue light ambulance for treatment for their injuries.
