A man was hospitalized after a serious car and motorcycle accident that caused serious disruption in Lewisham.
The crash occurred shortly before noon on Loampit Vale, a main road between Lewisham and New Cross.
The victim, believed to be in her fifties, was taken to a large trauma center.
Pictures from the scene show a battered motorcycle in the middle of the street that was taped up by the police.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We received a call today (May 14) at 11:58 am for reports of a road collision involving a car and motorcycle on Loampit Vale, SE13.
“We sent a rescue team to treat a man on the spot and take him primarily to a large trauma center.”
Loampit Vale will remain closed in both directions and traffic will be on in St. John’s Vale. Thurston Road is congested as traffic is diverted.
