Motorists are being warned of severe delays on the M6 this afternoon after a crash involving three cars. Traffic monitoring system Inrix has reported the collision on the northbound carriageway near to junction 16 for Stoke-on-Trent North.
Two lanes are closed on the northbound carriageway and one lane also remains closed southbound. Emergency services are at the scene and there are reports of ‘minor injuries’.
Inrix reports: “There are long delays and traffic is partially blocked due to an accident on the M6 in both directions near J16 A500 (Stoke-on-Trent / Crewe). Congestion to Keele Services Northbound and almost Sandbach Services Southbound. Two lanes closed Northbound and one closed Southbound.”
