Man flown to hospital by car in Scottish Borders after horror accident

A man was flown to a hospital after a serious accident in the Scottish Borders.

There was a collision with a vehicle in Huntford near the border with England on Thursday, August 5th, around 12:20 p.m.

The 45-year-old has been taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment, but the extent of his injuries is not yet known.

The road is currently closed as police investigations into the collision continue.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and take an alternate route as the road is closed in both directions.

A police spokesman for Scotland said: “We were called to a vehicle accident on the A68 in Huntford at around 12.20pm on Thursday, August 6th.

“A 45-year-old man was flown to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment for his injuries and the road is currently closed while the investigation continues.”
