Masked thug threatened women in parking garage elevators and tried to rob them

A masked thug threatened and tried to rob two women in a downtown parking elevator.

The victims entered the elevator in Hanover Street Q Park on Gradwell Street shortly after 1 p.m. on Wednesday when a man got in and threatened them.

He demanded cash and phones from the women who valiantly refused to hand them over.

The attempted robber then had to flee the elevator empty-handed towards the Merseyside Police Department

In a statement, a Merseyside police spokesman said: “We are requesting information following an attempted robbery on Hanover Street this afternoon (Wednesday June 9th).

“At around 1:15 pm, we received a message that a man had threatened two women in the elevator at Q Park, Liverpool One.
