PEDESTRIANS INJURED AFTER A CAR HAS BEEN HIT ON NODEHILL – Iceland Echo

Roads in the Nodehill area of ​​Newport were closed by police tonight (Friday) due to a collision between a pedestrian and a car.

Emergency services are currently on-site at the intersection of St James’ Street and Trafalgar Road.

Paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service took care of the pedestrian who is said to have been laid on the wet road.

You have now been taken to St. Mary’s Hospital for further examination and treatment.

The incident occurred shortly before 7:35 p.m. and involved a Honda Jazz being driven by a local delivery driver.

Motorists turning left at McDonalds will be diverted through Chapel Street and those using Orchard Street will be diverted through the bus station.

The streets are expected to reopen shortly, but police await an injury update from doctors.
