A pedestrian was rushed to hospital with minor injuries after being hit by a car.
Due to the incident just before noon on Friday, there were reports of heavy traffic in Ilfracombe in North Devon.
Traffic monitoring service Inrix said the incident occurred on the high street around Oxford Grove.
After the incident, there was heavy traffic in the area, the service said.
BBC Travel South West tweeted that there had been “reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian”.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the pedestrian suffered minor injuries and was rushed to hospital.
The road was cleared and traffic normalized about an hour later.
