Police close street and woman after two cars collide in Fife. taken to the hospital

A woman was hospitalized after two cars collided on a street in Fife.

The accident occurred on Friday just before 3:30 p.m. on the B925 near Auchtertool.

Paramedics and two firefighters from Lochgelly Station were confused while police closed the street to all traffic.

Eyewitnesses say that cutting devices were also used to free the occupant of one of the vehicles.

A woman was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy by ambulance.

Nothing was known about the extent of their injuries.

A police spokesman for Scotland said: “Officials in Fife were called on Friday, June 18th at around 3:30 pm to hear the report of an accident involving two vehicles on the B925.

“Emergency services came and a woman was taken to Victoria Hospital.

“The road is currently closed to allow the vehicles to be lifted.”

A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service added: “We have received a warning about a collision between two vehicles on the B925 at Auchtertool.

“Two devices from Lochgelly train station were dispatched, but have since left the crime scene.”
