Pedestrians tragically killed in a police-named A63 two-car accident

Unfortunately, a 51-year-old man was named as the victim of a fatal accident on the A63.

Darren Barker, of Hull, died shortly before 10:15 p.m. on April 3 after an incident involving two cars and a pedestrian that caused long traffic jams on the westward carriageway of Clive Sullivan Way.

The pedestrian in the collision, Darren, was hospitalized but died despite the best efforts of the Humberside Police and Yorkshire Ambulance Service.

Police say Darren’s family continues to receive specially trained officers.

The force continues to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.

A Humberside Police spokesman said: “A pedestrian who died on Saturday April 3rd after a collision with two cars on the A63, Clive Sullivan Way, was named 51-year-old Darren Barker of Hull.

“We were called to report a collision just before 10:15 pm, and despite the best efforts of our ambulance colleagues, Darren sadly passed away a short time later.

“His family continues to be supported by specially trained officials.

“We continue to appeal to everyone who witnessed the collision to contact us at number 101, quoting Protocol 669 of April 3rd.”
