A girl was hospitalized after an accident in Musselburgh.The road was temporarily closed as emergency services visited the scene, but it has since been reopened.
The police are investigating the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At around 2:10 pm, officers were called to Pinkie Road in Musselburgh after an accident involving a car and a pedestrian was reported.
“The girl, aged 11, was taken to the hospital for treatment and is not believed to have had any serious injuries.
“The investigation into the circumstances continues.”
