Police on the ground following a motorcycle and car accident on the M25 near Heathrow

After an accident involving a car and a motorcycle on the M25, three lanes were closed on Friday (September 10th).

Heavy traffic continued on the counterclockwise route after the crash, which occurred at around 4:30 p.m. at Exit 14 near Heathrow Airport.

A Met Police spokesman later confirmed that the motorcyclist had “sustained an arm injury.”

National Highways said, “Delays are due to a previous collision of two vehicles with a motorcycle and a car. Lanes 3 and 4 (of 4) have been closed so that the emergency services can work on site and the rescue can take place.

“The scene is now clear and all lanes are open again. However, the travel times are currently delayed by at least 60 minutes compared to the usual travel times.

When approaching the scene of the accident, which was cleared around 6:10 p.m., there were delays of about 13 kilometers counterclockwise.

A later broken car incident resulted in further delays, with the second incident ending around 7:40 p.m.
