Police seized £ 130,000 worth of cannabis from a car on the M74 when three were arrested

Three people were arrested after police seized £ 130,000 worth of cannabis from a car in Dumfries.

Officials stopped a vehicle on the M74 near Johnstonebridge on Wednesday afternoon.

Herbal cannabis has been found inside with an estimated value of £ 130,000.

In connection with the incident at around 3:30 p.m., a 52-year-old woman and two men, aged 38 and 18, were arrested.

Detective Inspector Dean Little of CID Dumfries said, “This is a significant amount of illegal drugs that have been withdrawn from the market and can no longer cause harm.
