Police: Two bodies found in a car parked on Pleasanton Street | news

A man and woman were found dead in a car parked on Pimlico Drive in northeast Pleasanton on Saturday morning, according to a city police spokesman.

The circumstances surrounding the deaths remain unclear, although according to Lt. Erik Silacci gave Pleasanton police no obvious evidence of a crime scene foul. Based on the degree of putrefaction, it appeared that the two people had been dead for at least a week.

Investigators have not yet been able to identify either of the two deceased, Silacci told the Weekly on Sunday afternoon.

“We are currently going through all preliminary investigations,” said Silacci. “We don’t believe in a foul at the moment, but we’re not ruling out anything.”

The investigation began after police received a call at around 9:45 a.m. on Saturday from a passerby who reported that he had seen an unresponsive person in a car parked next to Soundwall Pimlico Drive. Upon arriving at the crime scene near the Keneland Way intersection, officers discovered two dead people – an adult man and an adult woman – in the Acura TSX who were dead, Silacci said.
