A threatening letter was left on a woman’s car that was parked in a forest yesterday (Monday, June 21).
The message, slipped under a windshield wiper, described what the person could do in a “hidden place” in Bourne Wood where the woman had been walking her dog.
The note was reported to Lincolnshire Police and Friends of Bourne Woods.

A post on the Friends of Bourne Woods social media said: “Please be vigilant if you use the forest and if you have seen someone acting suspiciously or found such a letter”. on your vehicle, and you have not already done so, please consider contacting the police. “
A Lincolnshire Police spokesman added, “We received a report that a note was left on a car in Bourne Wood.
“A woman left her car in the woods while she was walking her dog. She returned to her car around 10:45 am and found a slip of paper under her rear window wiper that she found annoying.
“We are investigating this incident. If someone notices that someone is behaving suspiciously or has information about this incident, they can call us on 101.”
The crime reference for the incident is 67 dated June 21.
