Roads in Dingle closed by police as “incident” officers cordon off the area around the car

Because of a police incident in Dingle, road closures have been set up and cordoned off.

Police erected a cordon on Park Street at around 8 p.m. Tuesday night when witnesses reported an accident.

About five police vehicles were seen near the cordon where officers blocked off an area near a car and a bicycle.

Residents in the area told ECHO that they believe a person was “knocked off the bike” by a car, but this has not yet been confirmed.

Pictures from the scene show a dark gray Opel car behind the barrier next to a push wheel.

Several road traffic officers are on site investigating and it is believed they will stay there all night.

The ECHO contacted Merseyside police but the officers refused to comment.
