One West Hull Street was blocked after a car went up in flames Tuesday afternoon.
Humberside Fire and Rescue attempted to control a fire on Endike Lane after firefighters were called to an incident on Tuesday, April 20 at 3:00 p.m.
The crew had to put out a fire in the car after flames broke out in traffic and other vehicles drove back in both directions.
In the excitement, residents lined the street to witness the fire that broke out from a black BMW and puffed thick smoke into the air.

Inrix traffic management system said the street was partially blocked, resulting in slow traffic near Oldstread Avenue.
In photos taken from a bus behind the incident, firefighters can be seen using a hose to extinguish the flames that gushed out of the driver’s seat window.
A Humberside Police spokesman said, “We visited Endike Lane at 3:00 pm where a Clough Road Fire Station fire truck used a hose reel to put it out.”
