A driver desperate for a fast food fix had an expensive trip after his vehicle was seized by police.
Leicestershire’s Roads Policing Unit (RPU) was doing its regular laps yesterday morning, Sunday 9th May, when they pulled over the car for inspection.
It was found that the driver had used his partner’s car to get the McDonald’s breakfast to get to the fast food shop.
The officers found that the person driving the vehicle did not have insurance.
It turned out they didn’t have a license either.

A post on Leicestershire’s RPU Twitter account read: “When you’re so desperate for a McDonald’s breakfast and use your partner car … with no insurance and no license.
“Expensive trip; driver reported and vehicle confiscated.”
They added, “He didn’t love it.”
Comments on the social media post made the situation clear and said, “Obviously not good food.”
