The police car crashes near the Hereford SAS warehouse when it calls

A police car crashed outside the SAS warehouse near Hereford in response to an “urgent incident,” West Mercia police said.

The police car was involved in an accident Wednesday night in Credenhill, north of Hereford, with a car that was driven by a member of the public on the A480.

The West Midlands Ambulance Service said he was called by police to crash at 6:10 p.m. A spokesman said three people from two vehicles were slightly injured.

West Mercia police have since said no one was injured in the other car.

They said the police car, with its lights and sirens on, was responding to an urgent incident in Herefordshire when the accident happened.

“Shortly after 6pm, the police car was involved in a collision with a car that was being driven by a member of the public,” a spokesman said.

“The occupants in the vehicle were uninjured.

“The officers in the police car were slightly injured. The road was closed while investigations were carried out and the vehicles were removed.”

The crash was reported to the West Mercia Police Professional Standards Department.

The spokesman said it was “normal practice” when police were involved in such a collision.
