All traffic was kept on the M2 after an accident between a truck and a car.
The accident occurred shortly before 7.30 p.m. on the road towards the coast between junction 5 for Sittingbourne and junction 6 for Faversham.

Traffic was withheld for a period to allow ambulance services to deal with the scene of the accident, but it is believed that the driver of the car managed to free himself from the rubble.
As a result of the incident, the road was blocked for some time due to debris on the roadway.
It is believed that no one has suffered serious injuries and drivers can expect delays as one lane is closed and traffic is slow.
