A man has been charged with “road traffic offenses” after a car hit five pedestrians in Edinburgh.
The 36-year-old was arrested and charged with the incident that occurred shortly before 1am on Sunday morning on Rose Street in Edinburgh.
At around 12:40 p.m. on Sunday, emergency services were called on Rose Street near the junction with Frederick Street.
Three women aged 37, 22 and 65 and two men aged 39 and 60 were rushed to the hospital, but it is believed that there is only one pedestrian in the hospital by Sunday evening.
A vehicle allegedly involved was not far away on Lothian Road.
The man is due to appear in front of the Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.

A statement from the Scottish Police said: “A 36-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offenses.
