In a statement on Monday, police said officers noticed a suspicious-looking vehicle on a gravel road on Sunday.

The vehicle eventually stopped and police discovered they had traveled from Hamilton to get to Auckland.

Police said the vehicle was searched and found over $ 100,000 in cash, as well as empty ounce bags and a large amount of snacks.

A police spokesman told 1News that the KFC has been scrapped.

Both men, ages 23 and 30, were later summoned to court for violating health ordinances, and further charges are likely.

In another incident on the northern Auckland border, police turned over a man who claimed he wanted to cross the border to charge his electric vehicle, even though there was no charging station he supposedly wanted to go to. He was turned over.

Since the introduction of warning level 4, 86 people have been charged with a total of 90 crimes in Auckland on Sunday at 5 p.m.
