Two men were arrested after police officers saw a package of suspected drugs thrown out of a car window.
Police officers on St Lukes Road, Southport, noticed a Vauxhall Astra at 4:40 p.m. on Saturday that they suspected was being driven without insurance.
When the car was being tracked, a small package was thrown from the passenger window.

The package, which was later recovered by an officer, contained small packs of suspected Class A drugs.
A large amount of cash was also confiscated after the car stopped on Sussex Road.
A 33-year-old man from the Birkdale area was arrested on suspicion of possession for the purpose of delivering Class A (crack cocaine).
A 44-year-old man from Southport was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to deliver Class A (cocaine), driving a vehicle while drugged and failing to stop.
The houses of the two men were searched.
You have since been released as part of an investigation until further investigations are pending.
These arrests follow those of two other men arrested earlier this week by Operation Pelican officials on duty in Southport for drug offenses.
