Alex Beresford said he left social media after facing “relentless racism” following his broadcast with Piers Morgan.
The 40-year-old Good Morning Britain weatherman defended Meghan Markle’s right not to be friends with the host in a disagreement that infuriated the outspoken Piers so much that he stormed off the set and later stepped back from the show.

During the debate, Alex had also defended Meghan’s comments in her interview with Oprah Winfrey about the racism she suffered as a member of the royal family and the impact of her position and public treatment on her mental health.
Now, as Alex wrote in The Telegraph, he was revealing the impact “relentless racism” had on him online, Spiegel reports.
